Surprise by the side of the road

Mornin all.
Back in the rainy months, as we drove across the Island, we saw this beauty of a project on the side of the road. I thought you guys might appreciate it.

Any idea what the prime mover is? I don't recognize it at all.

As near as I can figure, what we have here is a Setra S6. A 1957 0r 1958 vintage.
Setra was built in Germany and was quite big until it merged with Mercedes. You can still see modern busses with the Setra name plate.
