(I'd swear that there was a topic around here about this truck that I could tack this onto, but I can't find it, so here's a new topic)

Got an email from Eric, who recently built a very correct housetruck on a 1952 Federal chassis that is very like Roger's:

Note the nice slide out!

Anyway, the point of this is to let those of you with "cable" know that the truck is featured in an upcoming episode of Home and Garden Television. Here's a copy-and-paste from Eric:

Roger is going to try and record it so I can get a chance to see the episode (no cable out here in the sticks)

I just checked HGTV's site and they say 6:00 for both eastern and pacific time zones.

There are five segments to the show so be quick with the record button.

Some of us don't have cable -or- broadband internet, so even if one of you manages to "youtube it", I'll have to wait for the VHS version...

OK, Roger turned me on to some of his photos of Eric's Federal (thanks, Roger, especially for reducing the size so my email wouldn't choke up).

Here's five to give everyone an idea of what they are going to see on HGTV:

i Assumed the bump outs slid in until seeing these photos... or is there something i'm not understanding? wouldn't it be too wide otherwise?

Yes the bump outs do slide in. I do not know how Eric did it but he did it out of all wood. He said he would use more medal in hin sight. Ill try to get some photos of the truck with the bump outs closed up. Some day Im going to find out how he did it so I can do bump outs in the housetrailer I want to build somt day.

Looks like this episode is still on track for tomorrow night:

http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/shows_hlwid/ep ... 62,00.html

Also appears that it will be repeated on June 19th, althoug you should'nt use that as an excuse to not tape a copy now, Roger!! :D
