Fascinating pics , thanks for sharing.
I love that old chevy bus.

I couldn't stay in that level of snow climate , I'd be off to warmer places. 8)

peter frost wrote:Amen to that, mention of Hawaii, yes the Lord knows some of us just can't do that white stuff no more. The winter of 72' in Eugene it got to 11 below and I had just moved into my housetruck. Had it not been for the coal oil stove I was burning pearl oil in, I would have frozen to death. But the walls were insulated and had a down bag so I was snug as a bug in a rug, lol 20 year old kid. Where have the years gone?

Doug,

It looks like you put that thing together just in time.
Nice pics, I can't get the third one to load though.
Thanks for sharing.

pic repair ....

Post by GoodClue »

Hello Chuck ... corrected the pic issue ... poor proofreading on my part ...

Hello Peter ... I'm sure paradise is just that, paradise. I still need the seasons to tell me I'm alive ... and I do enjoy travelling to distant and different lands on my bike or in my pickup ... maybe my bus again ... without having to fly ... One man's heaven vs another's island ... enjoy.

Peter, I have been to your "Paradise". I admit I loved seeing it. It was nice, I liked visiting. However, to live there, I wouldn't want to. For one, there is not much chance of ever waking up to find a foot of snow on the ground  . I like having four different seasons of the year.
Doug, just remember, this is spring, and that white stuff won't last much longer, and You'll be looking forward to it again next winter. It is nice to know that we just wait a few days or weeks and the weather will change again. :) Hang in there for now.

Starting your own thread ...

Post by GoodClue »

Hello Peter ...
I'm going to ask a favor ...
Could you please start a new topic as your thread? You have seemed to have Hijacked my thread/topic on my '46 bus ...
It's easy to do, just post a new topic with whatever title you'd like ... and post your pics, etc to that thread.

I have issues with Hawaii since my ex spit for there 3 years ago ... I know more about the #$%@'d place than I ever would want to know ...

I will email Sharkey and ask him how to noitfy you with the process if you'd like ...

Like I said before, each man's paradise is where ever he chooses ... mine still happens to be the N/A continent ... for now.

I'm 60, have my own stories, and will choose my next running mate on my own ...

Thanks, GoodClue
