Any of you guys seen this bus before? I saw it for sale in Waldport, OR, in 1999. I called the number and got no answer. I'd have bought it too!!

I think that's Mark and Ann's bus. They live up the river from Waldport. They built it when their kids were younger to go to Mexico. I don't know if they still have it or not.

Some more pictures from that era, from the Archives:
this one was in San Ysidro, I think, a stones throw from the U.S./ Mexico border.
This was up a bit north of Santa Cruz. I talked to the owner and got a tour of the inside. The middle section (3rd and 4th windows from the back) slid back and resulted in an open-air kitchen. He said it had the running-gear from an old firetruck: 4 or 5 spd main, aux. transmission and 2spd rear end.
A couple VW U.F.O.s seen in or around Santa Cruz, I think
"Heavy Metal Mike", somewhere in Norther Cali. This is what you do if you want a sleeper berth on a day cab!
I think this was in Arcata. The Raw bus, had a tray of sprouts or some kind of plants, growing under the windscreen.
I thought this would make a cool rolling-home.
