Hello bus lovers out there,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have a wood stove in a propane bus? If there is anything important to know? Any dangers? Also wondering if installing a larger wood stove, and only burning small fires is a bad idea. How much heat is put out?

I don't see that a wood stove in an LPG powered bus is any more dangerous than doing so in a gasoline powered bus. If I had to guess, I'd say it would be safer because LPG tanks aren't vented, they are sealed cylinders when not being filled. Gasoline tanks are open to atmosphere all the time and presumably emit flammable vapors periodically when the fuel warms and expansion causes the air and vapor to be pushed out of the tank vent.

Neither fuel system is safe to be around a wood stove, or any other form of combustion, during filling of course.

I've lived in a Housetruck with LPG tanks on the frame and a wood stove in the living space for 34 years. No sign of fire danger yet...

Just make sure if you have a dog that he is smarter than mine!!!!
