Very rare and unique custom bodied for Mayflower Moving company. Less than fifteen ever built, would make an excellent vintage car hauler and a great advertising billboard for your business. (714) 612-9081.

Hello Jones'n4chrome, thanks for the link. I'd never seen one of these before.
I had to find out more about these rigs and found these images.
The bodies were built by Fageol truck company and some were fitted to International chassis.
The Fageol company had many various associations. They built trucks, BIG trucks. Ten wheel highway tractors back in the thirties. They also built buses under the names Fageol and Twin Coach.
The site
http://www.coachbuilt.com/index.htm has a ton of info on a ton of builders from bus builders to limosines and commercial cars to hearses. Lots of interesting history.
Great stuff, thanks again.

Sharkey,
Thanks for the edit work, sorry for the hassle.
Bill,
Thanks for the info. This truck looks to be the same size as the top photo you posted. I'm real tempted to go look at it, just because I may never get a chance to see one again. I don't know if he will get that kind of money in this economy, but if someone wants it where else can you find one?
Thanks for the update & link.

I always liked Faegol Van's ever since the local Bookmobile visited my neighborhood in the '50's south of Carmel, Ca. I have read where they also had models with dual rear axles and even one with duals on the front axle.. 'SuperFreighters' with a Fruehauf Trailer as the body....
Did anyone get that Craig's list van? Looked in nice shape..any further pic's
