Since shifting to the new server, there has been an intermittent problem with it going down. Initially I thought it was a problem with the database server, as restarting it, brings things back online.
Having checked the logs and server loading, at the time it goes down, it now appears to be an Apache tuning issue, as things everything stops, as a massive memory usage occurs. When all of the memory is used up, the kernel shuts down the database server, but it is actually the webserver (Apache) that is causing the problem.
I have started changing some settings in Apache, and will see how it responds. I will tweak it some more when I get a better feel for how it is responding.
Thanks to Dusty for alerting me to this, twice today!
