Dusty had some good Mercedes diesels!

1959 Rambler station wagon (it was actually my parents car, but I was responsible for it, fuel, insurance, upkeep, etc)
This car caused me to be severely psychologically damaged for life- I had to drive it to school AND giving my younger brother and sister a ride at the same time in this corral pink stationwagon. My friends drove Mustangs, and GTOs and then here comes poor me in a pink Ramber stationwagon. The shame of it all! Anyway-

1947 Chrysler Windsor Sedan (I still have a weakness for the big bathtub Chryslers to this day.) :)
1960 Vauxhall stationwagon
1969 VW Beetle
1973 Datsun 1200
1975 Datsun B210
1974 Dodge D100 4X2 pickup
1975 Ford Van (during the shortlived Van craze)
1934 Dodge rumble seat coupe
1947 Packard Sedan
1953 Chrysler New Yorker
1949 Dodge Wayfayer sedan
1947 Studebaker Commander Starlite coupe
1959 Rambler American 2-door sedan
1952 Olds sedan
1967 Chrysler 4 door sedan
1953 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup
1973 IH 3/4 4X4 pckup
1971 Citroen DS21 sedan (what a neat but strange car!)
1970 Plymouth 2 door Fury
1975 Pontiac Trans-Am 455V8 (one of my all time favorites)
1980 Toyota pickup
1980 IH Scout Traveler
1980 Chevy Camaro Z-28 (bright yellow- 'radar bait')
1981 Chevy one ton CrewCab 4X4 diesel pickup
1981 Chevy Corvette (another favorite- 'arrest me red' with black leather)
1979 Cadillac coupe DeVille
1985 Ford F250 4X4 Supercab pickup
1984 Chevy Corvette (another 'arrest me red' with black leather)
1987 Ford F350 4X2 crewcab dually diesel pickup (turboed, 2spd rear end)
1987 Ford Bronco
1987 Ford Bronco II
1988 Ford Explorer
1992 Ford F350 4X4 Crewcab diesel
1978 Ford F150 4X4 shortbox stepside pickup
1975 Porsche 914 2.0L sport (restored and rebuilt this one myself)
1990 Mustang GT red convertible (another favorite)
1991 Ford T-Bird Supercoupe (Supercharged rocket, way ahead of it's time, close to my all time favorite!) :D
1982 Pontiac 2-door diesel (30mpg- way ahead of it's time too)
3- 1969 Ford Broncos
2- 1992 Dodge pickups (one for me, one for wife)
1981 Jeep Pickup
1989 Ford F350 one ton 4X4 crew cab diesel pickup
2002 Ford F350 4X4 Supercab diesel pickup
2007 Dodge one ton 4X4 dually diesel flatbed pickup (current work truck)
1994 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
1996 Ford T-bird (current beater-mobile since I can't afford the diesel to use my work truck as a run-around) 8)
2001 GMC Sonoma crew cab 4X4 (wife's current ride)

Wow, when I look back on this list I realize how much I have contributed to the economy in years past- especially the auto related economy.
And I don't think I have remembered them all!

Hmmm....let me see if these old neurons will remember that list?
Not as big as some of these, though.

1961 VW beetle (those handles behind the doors are not hand holds - they are stirrups!) Had the daisies and curtains between front and back and over back windows. Homemade wooden bumpers. Hippie car.

1932 Packard ( for about 2 months - wish I had it today!)
1952 Chevy BelAir 4 door
1961 Chevy Parkwood station wagon (turboglide POS transmission!)

1965 Buick Wildcat (I am still SOOOOO pissed off that I sold that car!)
1966 Olds Delta 88
1967 Olds Delta 88
1970 Olds Cutlass - still have this one - future project
1975 Olds Delta 88
1977 Olds Delta diesel (one of only two new cars ever bought)
1980 Toyota Corolla station wagon
1980 Olds Delta 88
1982 Olds Delta 88
1984 Buick Park Avenue
1961 Mercury Comet station wagon
1967 Chrysler Newport
1976 Chrysler Cordoba (inherited that with SWMBO)
1977 Pontiac "Caprice" - can't remember what they called it
1983 Ford F150 pickup, 351 Cleveland (variable venturi carburetor - POS!)
1986 Ford F150 pickup, 351 ??
1989 Mercury Grand Marquis
1995 Mercury Grand Marquis
1976 Honda Civic
1994 Honda Civic
1999 Dodge Ram
1976 Chevy Malibu
1984 Chevy Caprice
1984 Olds Delta 88
1976 Intl Schoolie

Almost got a 1999 Cadillac DeVille - dodged that bullet!! That Northstar engine was a heap! (I worked on the thing for a while, and man, what a mess GM has become in the last 25 years!! Bad enough to bankrupt a regular company... oh, wait... they DID go bankrupt!!) It's still available, and is very nice car except for the engine, but it will be a while before can try that project.

Always liked the Olds Delta 88... if you couldn't tell. Usually got them from other family members. Averaged about 70,000 when I bought them, then about 200,000 when sold them.

Bob, I sure have known you for a long time.

I remember the white Dodge Polara, the Javelin (when you were in Azusa), the green Chevy Chevette (not a Vega), the 1966 VW van, the 1964 Ford van you sold me, and your current Jeep.

We have known each other for a long time! We all meet friends and it seems very often we lose contact and move along...I am thankful for our long and continued friendship! 8)
You are correct about the "Chevette" (the most embarasing car I have ever owned) The 1966 Dodge however was very cool! It was a light green with a white hard top.

There is a reason they gave those away as prizes on the TV game shows. CHEAP!

Still a better car than the Dodge "K" car and much much better than the worst U.S. car ever made... the Chevrolet Vega (vagrant). The only other car I can think of in this category is the loathsome Yugo.

When I was a kid, the Ford Falcon was considered not much better then a Chevy Shovette (Chevette) which was the American Yugo. If you drove a Pinto, it showed you had aspirations to own a real car someday. Only grandmas and strange nerdy folks drove Falcons.
Or pink '59 Rambler station wagons. (I still bear the scars, deep troubling psychological damage!)

At one time, Yugos were in the top three of stolen cars in the U.S.. That's because for the five or six years they were being sold in the U.S., the parts were interchangeable amongst all of them.
