We arrive at the Finley river. Here are some scenes of the area surrounding where we will be setting up.

Time to empty the truck.

Here is the power panel in the field where the concert was held. It was fed by a 250 foot cable that was connected to an industrial building on the property.
I think it was 8 gauge copper wire.

We removed two 20 amp single circuit breakers (square D) and replaced them with a 40 amp double to run Zac's power distribution box. (not shown in these pictures)

The tent section has been offloaded, and is ready to be assembled.

Here's our neighbor, CJ, and Zac setting up the tent. CJ was of immense help. We also had other volunteers. I helped a little, but was told by Zac that I must absolutely not use my left arm. That left little for me to do. So I watched everyone else work and I took pictures.

The tent has been set up, and the stage is almost finished being set up.

We backed the truck up and put the ramp on the stage so we could unload the speakers.

There are four of these as well as four bigger ones (sub woofers) that sit under the one you see.

The one you see has two 12 inch speakers, a mid range horn, and two tweeters.

The subwoofers have one 18 inch speaker in each box.

LET THE MUSIC BEGIN.

There were three bands that day: Uncle Fudd
The Shotgun Brothers
Honkysuckle

Here are some pics of The Shotgun Brothers. The band is led by Brandon Moore. I have had the opportunity to play music with Brandon many times when I used to come here from Tennessee for the Love Fest festivals.

Just two weeks ago, I played with him when he was doing a blues duo. I mentioned that in an earlier post.

The Shotgun Brothers is his rockin' band.

I knew that I would be asked to sit in with his band. I brought my electrified mandolin and my auto wah-wah pedal.

During sound check, the band got to hear my wah-wah mandolin. They were surprised and were excited about the sound.

When I performed with them, the band and the audience were highly impressed.

There are no pics of me on stage. BUT, here is a Youtube video of a song I did with them.

The last band to play was Honkysuckle. They really got the crowd jumping.

I have been invited to play accordion with them in two weeks.

There were perhaps 300 people there, and a good time was had by all.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program, The Underground House.

You may remember when Rick brought his Kubota tractor over to straighten out some of the dirt walls.

On that day, Zac also used his little Hanimoto diesel tractor to do the same task.

I think it is a Japanese tractor. All the placards on it are written in Japanese.

Although it only has a tiny 2 cylinder engine, it performs remarkably.

Here are some pics of Zac putting the tractor to work.
