Wanted: Hercules diesel parts...

Seeking valve cover gasket or any spare parts for a Hercules D2300 four cylinder diesel engine. It is a re-power by Ford, replacing the in line six in my 1982 Ford grumman bread van. Although there are thousands of these re-powered stepvans around the nation...this 3.7L diesel engine fails to show in the electronic catalog at Napa or other auto parts stores.

You might email Alex at www.idahomotorpool.com since he deals in alot of Army surplus vehicles. Since your engine is a Hercules, and the military used alot of Hercules engines in thier vehicles, he might have an idea where to get parts for them.
