Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
That comforter should work great and that access door, beautiful, I'm glad you don't live next door to me, you would make everything I do look bad.

Re: Texas tiny house?
I love that place. It reminds me of a place I saw once in Lincoln City, Or. It was what looked like an RV garage with a green house built on the side of it. It was beautiful, landscaped over the top with waterfalls and stone walkways and plants and flowers everywhere. It looked like the perfect summ...

Thanks Jack, 3459 miles so far. We'll be here for about another month and then we'll start heading back. Taking the warm way.

Wow, 50 mph over the grapevine, I would have been doing 35.
What a beautiful setup. a clean scene.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Thanks Jack, I have all the info on the tracker. I was looking for door locks and keys. We did not tow for the first few years we had the bus because we thought it would just complicate things and probably end up costing more to travel. We had our bicycles. We found it to be just the opposite. We co...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Hi Jack,
I just got a new Towd. A '92 Geo Tracker 2 door convertible 4X4. It's a sweet little rig but it was built by some hillbillys over the back fence of a wrecking yard somewhere so there are lots of missing parts. I am wondering what you did with the parts you didn't use?

Outstanding, Jack. If I have to replace my windshield cover it will be with Polyester batting with "V" shaped Quilting.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Just a couple more thoughts. As far as I can tell the bubble wrap is still as good as new but you can see thru the rip stop nylon that the foil backing is coming off on the the places that it has been creased repeatedly. So I'm thinking that it is reaching it's lifespan , Also, I'm not able to smash...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
We made a windshield cover for privacy and insulation about 10 years ago. It's about 3 ft X 8 ft. It is white Rip Stop Nylon on both sides Sewn around the edges with foil backed bubble wrap on the inside. It has worked better that I had thought. You probably don't want to use the bubble wrap but may...

Re: somewhereinUSA build
Looking good! I had trouble with my little VW pickup jumping back and forth, the steering wheel banging back and forth, if I turned too sharp or driving over a ledge. I replaced the front struts and the problem stopped. I like the idea of a bungi cord. I think I'll do that this year. Thanks for the ...

Re: Rock guard for towed
I've been towing a car or little truck for about 15 years over some pretty tough gravel roads and have never had a problem. The problem is having to clean the windshield before I can drive it. Sometimes I get paranoid and put too much oil in the 671 and it spits it out all over the windshield of the...

by Dusty » Wed Dec 25, 2013 7:48 am Interesting view point Jerry , nice old bus , great solar array. Desert looks interesting too , like maybe it floods there sometimes. Regards , This is Quartzsite, Arizona. Heaven for rock hounds. Yes, this valley is a bowl and it does flood once in a while. In 1...
