Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack --- sounds like a great trip lined up. I much prefer the old and out of the way places myself. And where did you find that cool exhaust vent. That is exactly what I have been looking for with no luck so far.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack --- sounds like you had a great outing and thanks for sharing. And the "drama" is kinda like when stuff goes south at a wedding. Just makes it all the more memorable.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Sincere condolences Jack. Critters really can work their way into our hearts and lives, which, given what they bring us, is good thing. That's what makes it so tough when we lose them.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack --- the L5 being a "portable" and not rated for indoors...did you rig some venting or how is it set up?

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

You know the rules Jack --- "The probability of having a problem in any given location is in inverse proportion to it's accessibility."

Meanwhile...which on demand WH did you go with and how do you like it so far?

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack --- Nice fix. Like having trailer brakes. Makes steep down hills a little less scary.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack...looks like you also narrowly missed having a fire to add to the list. Glad to hear it all ended well. Now for some more pie.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Well that sucks. But very glad to hear all is well though. And Roger the battery access. I am working on that as we speak. Had to construct a (large) box for my house batts that will sit just behind the driver side duallies and open to the interior. Still head scratchin' the start battery. Maybe und...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Sweet Jack --- Home is where you park it! Glad to see you are getting lots of use out of the mini set-up. And methinks the MPG's of Clarence must be equally sweet.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Ouch Jack! --- sorry to hear the west winds made the trip a tad nerve wracking but it appears you beat it. Good on you. Sounds like you Pacific Coast folks may be in for more of the same so you might consider just welding the awning closed onto the side of Honeysuckle...(just to be safe).

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

One more thing we have in common Jack --- I always had a weakness for trains. Learned how to hop them from "Bo's" and rode them them to and from school in the first thru 3rd grade. There were still a few "Steamers" then. Moved a few miles out years later and wound up hopping the...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Outstanding Jack! --- Sorry to hear what you had to go through but all's well that doesn't fall into the well. I am now six years "clean" myself after a round of stage four cancer. Say what you want about the VA Hospital system, but the one here in Houston is great. You will no doubt be b...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hey Jack --- if you can get that sweetheart in front of a knowledgeable buyer, it ought to go for absolute top dollar. There is nothing else ever built that compares and no other all stainless that I have ever heard of. Wish I were younger and looking...again. Course, I'd also settle for just "...
