They cut the heck out of the property before I bought it so I had the neighbor walk his excavator over and stump some acres. Its such a contrast to be on the top of a cleared hill compared to in the dense woods of the old bush. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_GiU-CYcUGYQ/TLvjcnZI0nI/AAAAAAAAALI/vuyqRgJ8XC...

Bring your best attitude so you are prepared to recieve, and also stay clued into your road karma. What goes around comes around a lot faster on the road then out on your little piece of dirt.

Apparently, I have to be beaten with a stick until I remember to bring the camera out to the old bush and take a picture of the trailer. I am NOT ignoring you, I just keep forgetting the camera.

Hey, I have a SD22 powered Datsun pickup. I used to pull a 4' by 8' trailer made out of the front end of a '39 Ford Coupe. The trailer is so heavy duty that we pulled two face cords stacked on it. The point is the little Datsun was able to pull that load comfortably and still get 30mpg. Ironically I...

One quick thought comes to mind, a headlight dimmer switch. They are meant to mount on the floor, and head lights draw about 10 amps. You'd send power into the middle and hook up one side like the low beam. Then when you mashed the switch to high beam, the pump would quit.

I totally fell asleep before 10pm. I even practiced going to the Chat Room and seeing what I had to do to make it work. Then ZZZZZ. Its a riot, because I remember, in what seemed like the not too distant past, partying animatedly 'til morning was bright. Now, I have become my grandparents. I'm scare...

Rudy,
That was a riot. Now I wish could just remember it long enough to tell it to somebody else. All jokes stop here.

Rudy, Thats amazing. How did you get that picture to post? Chuck, Sorry, no boats here now, in fact all vehicles and equipment have been transfered to the new bush (except for four or five of my favorite Old Chevys). I am sorry there is no street view for our new place. I am sure the picture van wou...

Thanks for the words of wisdom Dennis. Here we are decending into winter with the accompanying poverty. It seems the easy money just stops after labor day. I don't mind the beans and rice, or having to be careful about every little dime, I just hate that depressed claustrophobic feeling when everyth...

dBurt! We have been watching the Heather (and Martin) sit on the beach in Copper Harbor for years. After our second child was born, the sailboat was too small. Lake Superior is all rocks and I have a fetish for steel boats that I can careen and weld. All these things added up to a real desire for a ...
