Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Hey SC. I'm a complete radio, TV, and communications idiot. I don't have an over the air antenna or any antenna for that matter as There isn't a radio in my bus. I'm going to make myself try the new cable installation next time I camp at an RV park just to see if the thing works. I do, however, wat...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Did you put an "over the air" antenna on the bus, too? Haven't seen one... That with one of those RV style switching input boxes really helps going back and forth between cable and regular tv. Took me almost 4 years to find that in my trailer...slow learner...and has helped quite a bit, es...

I check in, too, very regularly. Walnut - I have a walnut log waiting for me in east Tennessee. Blew down in a storm a couple years ago and sister said I could have it. It is still alive and growing! There are two limbs that have kind of taken off..they are now about 10" in diameter and 15 ft &...

Well, things have been kinda quiet so I ran across this and just decided to post for everyone's enjoyment! Just the kind of motorcycle thing I could get into. May even be better than motorcycle demolition derby!! Of course, it is very difficult to beat motorcycle demolition derby....! https://www.fa...

Oh, mannnnn....just looked and they are there! How bizarre. Just gotta love electronic stuff. That kind of "slip" is why I never trust an ATM - don't even have a pin number.

Re: Missing Photo's?
Well, shoot... I just went to my old tornado post and found that all the images appear to be 'gone'. I was gonna share it with someone. The pics are still located in the same photobucket location they were in. I guess I need to go through and redo that whole thing??

Re: Peel and stick solar panels
Our state in it's infinite lack of wisdom passed a law last year that allows - actually appears to require - that electric utilities must charge home/business owners who install solar to pay a "fee" that can be as much as $25,000. I am not sure what to expect when I get started on this - ...

Re: Battery Price
Great! That is good info that I have been wondering about. I will probably go lead acid for the first project - a small backup system just to run heater and refrigerator during short term power outages like snowstorms. Am also looking at larger system for new place. I am planning to expand the searc...

Re: Hay, and the unroller.
Have been using photobucket/tinypic for photos for several years and when I started this thread it seemed very cumbersome to deal with...more - a pain in the butt! They always had lots of ads, but they seemed to just surround me and try to get attention. Last few times I have tried to use it, they a...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
What/where was the final destination? The bus rally.... We drove to Las Vegas last Monday (11/21) and I may have seen that train along I-40....or any one of quite a few that seem to travel east/west out there! Got to go over the new bridge at the dam. Saw the water was thousands of feet lower than t...

Re: Have you considered the weight?
Last time I operated a crane was lifting signs at a sign shop when I was 15 in the mid 60's - the cranes of that day seemed to me to be death traps. I am wondering if there have been improvements in the underlying safety mechanisms - the one thing that comes to mind is some kind of "quick relea...
