I was in Phoenix last week 110 degrees and one guy was complaining about the humidity???? Personally, I'll take 90 with the humidity.

Generator caution

I often read where a forum member has purchased either a new or used "contractor" style generator to mount somewhere, probably in a nice box for power. I'm certainly the last person to say "don't do it" since no one has could ever say I have done things the conventional or even t...

The semi is a Volvo 610, sleeper is about 48 in. The heater works well enough while sitting in the evenings. Unless it's going to be below 0 I don't usually run it all night, just use lots of blankets. Air conditioner is one of these http://www.compactappliance.com/AP12000S-EdgeStar-Extreme-Cool-120...

I just looked at the pictures again. What state (or planet if you prefer) can you tow anything (except a farm wagon) without brake/tail/marker lights?
I see it does have a slow moving vehicle triangle on it. Kinda goes against that 70mph thing.

Does that wood stove installation look a little wonky to anyone else??
You mean waaaaay too close to wood, without near enough air space/insulation?
Not if you never build a fire in it.

Yes, that's the one. Sometimes you can find a reconditioned one from Cummans/Onan dealers. I see that, that is a used one, seems a bit high priced. Mine is 15 months old, bought brand new from Northern Indiana Cummins for under $5500, but I got RV manufacturers price through my son. I don't know wha...

You wouldn't catch me towing that thing 70mph. It looks like standard farm wagon running gear with no brakes. I don't think I see $60,000 worth of stuff + labor.

I've had good luck with Onan quiet diesel. It they consistently start when it's -20 deg. Biggest problem I have is knowing when it's running, sometimes I can feel it but not always. I currently have an 8000. It will run a full size microwave, portable heater (1500w) and engine block heater (1500w) a...

Anyone know how they did that gray covered headliner?
The RV industry has a masonite type of panel with foam and a very nice vinyl covering (leather looking) in 4x8 sheets available at the surplus stores around Elkhart.

This bus looks to be one piece, so it may be they glued it up. Nicely done.

Car I had in high school got 2 in town and 4 on the highway.

98 Dodge w/400+ HP would get 13 at 27000 lbs gross. I could run the mts in 5th gear with the cruise on. I think it got about 24 with an empty trailer.

I had some Austin Mini's that probably got around 40, but I never bothered to check.
