I thought of listing all that redneck stuff, I was afraid of being labeled as even more a cliche then I already might be. Still I do like Hank Williams Junior, "All my rowdy friends have rowdied on down..." I just didn't want to put on my Captain Obvious Hat mentioning those popular standards. Perhaps it is appropriate. One thing I am sure of...some of youse have to be just as bipolar as me or have multiple personalities...your tastes have to vary. So here are my personal favorite "spool up the turbo and pour the oil to 'er" tunes....
@6:30 the beautiful part starts

I've been down south to the Limberlost. I've seen the corn. Oh, and those horses...whew! Did I mention I used to work for Karl Krueger holding the walkers and Percherons while he swung those hammers? The last time he came to the farm was when he was 98 years old. He worked all his life. Everytime I hear this song, it makes me think of the Limberlost and that beautiful southern land, and Karl.

In another southern place, I'd hear the sound of these machines coming, and I'd shuffle over to the CD player and toss in this song. That was everybody's clue to make themselves scarce. I'd be planting a mental nine bean row, dripping slow. It was there and then that I really learned to like Korn and Mudvayne. I liked it when everybody ran and hid.

Ever see two things at once? Two things transposed like slides one over the other? WTF?

I know this isn't the road you think of...but its very real for me (being on an island) and my mind often goes to this video and music...

You see mostly the best music comes from across the Lake from Fort William. Everything in this country is too cliche/canned anymore, at least radio wise.

The real Tea Party...

transposition again...

One thing for sure, this is GREAT! My complaint about commercial music is that stations around here get stuck playing the same set for thirty years. I cannot stand to be bored like that and have learned to listen to a lot of different stuff so I won't be bored! So I have checked all your links and have enjoyed listening to the music I haven't heard before AND enjoyed the music I know because of the memories that flood back upon hearing it.
Finally, one for Aunt Aggie...
