I just got finished catching up reading the last 3 pages of this thread....FUNNY stuff everybody

On page two of this thread, you can read about Billy. He's the guy I let drive my 1958 Ford pickup truck on the highway.

So, here's a guy I have only met once in my life, and I get an email from him today. Somehow, he located me via the internet. He asked me for my phone number. An hour later the phone rings. It's Billy. WOW! What a treat it was to talk with him. He was so happy to speak with me and could not stop talking about how much it meant to him when I let him drive my truck.

He was also excited about telling me of his latest adventures.

I just can't figure out how Billy does the things he does. Remember, he is totally blind. How does he even dial the phone?

Apparently, Billy's courage grows every day.

Two years ago, he got into skydiving. After a while, he wanted to go solo, but the instructors did not let him. He always went tandem. I think Billy stopped skydiving because they would not let him go solo.

I bet he could do it though. Billy golfs, snow skis, takes subways, and has even tried bowling.

The funniest new hobby he has now, is making quilts.

Now, this one has really got me baffled.

Ezrablu posted this pic on the Bob's Machine thread. I though it was worth looking at twice, so I posted it here.

Are those scientists still working on the Philadelphia Experiment?

Bob and I used to frequent the Freeway Cafe when we were in Los Angeles. It was owned by a very nice man named Paul. The greeting that Paul consistently gave us was "what you are doing?" It is a phrase that Bob and I greet each other with even 25 years later.

Paul had a son who had gone to medical school and was doing his internship at a hospital. I do not remember his son's name.

Being an intern means that you work long hours, and get the menial jobs.

One time, Paul's son was assisting the doctors with a leg amputation. His job was to hold the big plastic bag which the leg was to go into.

With the powerful saws the doctors use, it does not take long for the leg to become disconnected. Paul's son was ready to catch it.

The funny part is when the leg fell into the bag, it jumped right back out of the bag.

Paul's son fell back in horror and amazement at the sight of a dismembered leg jumping out all by itself. I'm sure the doctor's had a big laugh.

I remember Paul well...as for the patient...he was obviously a beer drinker and full of hops!

I know that after the surgery, the patient never came running to me for anything...

I think they might have amputated the wrong one by mistake?

I just read a true news article about a poor guy who got his little best friend amputated by mistake, they did however leave the twins intact.

What could be the moral of this story??
