As a matter of fact, it is T-MINUS 59 days and counting.

Gonna start the spaceship up and pilot it to a new space.

I've been there many times and will be glad to see old friends.

Thank God I am moving to a town that has live music venues, and amazingly the musicians get paid.

It's nice to be a big fish in a little sea.

Bob is very excited about my having made my next destination. I am actually quite tense yet quite anxious about captaining this journey.

It has been a LONG time that I moved to another planet. I've done a lot of shuttle runs, but haven't moved the Mothership permanently in 14 years.

NO WONDER I AM STALE!

Some may say that I don't rightly deserve the "President Of The Urban Camping Society" title. It's hard to argue that point.

Soon, the weight of having acquired TOO MUCH stuff will be lifted from my shoulders. Unfortunately, it is not a seller's market for "stuff".

I know that I will no way realize the bucks I put into buying SO many things. Some lucky people will be receiving some nice gifts.

The modus operandi is to lighten the load of worldly stuff.

K.I.S.S A good philosophy.

I am getting my Keep It Simple, Stupid plan ready.

Gonna kiss this "dead zone" goodbye.

I am not really needed here. I want to be needed.

It does sound like it's time to make some changes with your environment....heading toward familiar friends is a great start. Being somewhere music thrives will be very good for you. Lightening your "load" of worldly goods plus unburdening yourself of "stuff" is another positive big step in the right direction.

Good man with a good plan

It has been a productive day. I sold one of my desirable pieces. Now I can pay for my stay. Should be enough to cover until I leave.

I bought some bulbs for my running lights and a new switch.

Gonna install the switch this evening. I am excited.

For the first time in years and years, I feel the Rudy - drive.

Soon it will be time to say Good Bye You Good Ole Boys.

For 14 years I have been a stranger in a strange land.

It's the things that make us a little unsure, that we don't quite know what'll turn out, that have the potential to make a difference.

Sounds like you're close to Setting Off. Good sound. Makes me a wee bit jealous...

Best luck to you Rudy. And I think we all want to hear what you find whenever, whatever, regardless.

Rudy,
I don't know which direction or how far you're going, but I'm a few miles SE of Huntsville, AL. If your trip should bring you down this direction, I'd be happy to assist in any way I can, whether it be pit stop and a meal, road service to help with trouble (hoping you won't need that!), a safe place to park it for the night, or whatever. I'll be glad to give you my number, so you can call if I can help.
You sound excited about the change. Here's hoping it's all good for you from here on!

Stan, thanks for your generous offer.

I am headed to Missouri. If I was headed your way, I would definitely come see you.

Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Wow, saw that and BAM Robbie Robertson's "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" started flowing into my gray matter. It's one of my favorite songs ever!

Not till next fall, Left on Halloween and just rolled back in to Oregon yesterday. 6111 miles, 15 states. Some parts were stressful but all in all everything went well.
Now it's time to do the money shuffle so we can go again.
So good to go, So good to get back. Only hiway people really understand.
And I must add, Crowns are one hell of a bus.
