Re: Helloooooo?
Good to hear from you again. We are still able to get out and camp every now and then and I still play with my cars but I've been slowed down some by various aches and pains. I guess as we approach our 90's that's to be expected. I check in here almost every day. Jack

Re: Helloooooo?
Still hanging in here. I check in regularly and it is very quiet.
Did you get moved? Looked like great place to be. We have been to TN once a few weeks ago for another funeral. Wife is almost healed up from broken hip, so that is very good.
Lots of vehicle maintenance and right now, just ready for a short road trip! Gonna try to go to Decorator's Warehouse in Ft Worth and look at 5 acres of Christmas stuff in one place!

Hey there Stealthy
I'm still in NY finishing up a project although I've han some work done on the building. I'm waiting on my passport and then I'm gonna fly down to have the power turned on and the security system activated and have a bunch of machinery delivered.

Hello.......
Good to see some activity. To be honest I thought the forum had died, as I couldn't get it to load. Don't know what happened, but see it's working again.

It has been quiet for a while. I check in usually a few times a week. Have even posted a time or two. Used to get an email from Sharkey once in a while, but he has been radio silent for most of this year.

Re: Helloooooo?
I can't find the posts from earlier that said you had moved. Just checking to see how things are going....how do you like Tennessee? We are into deep summer here now, so it is seriously miserable! And I have outdoor carpentry I have to do! Just the kind of stuff I love to do, but not with heat index - temperdidity - of 115 deg !Dennis The Bus Dweller wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 8:33 am Hey there Stealthy

Re: Helloooooo?
Funny time for this question. I have owned the truck for five months now, and for the most part it is going well. However, as I write this, I am parked on the side of I 80 in Nevada, awaiting a tow for what is probably a blown radiator. Temperature is currently 82 rising to 99. Truck is dark blue so will get hot.
Fortunately running the APU doesn't seem to be pressurising where the coolant is coming out, so I do have some AC cooling me for now.

Re: Helloooooo?
I'm here at my place in Tennessee for the week I'm back on the plane on Saturday morning. It's been a productive trip. I met with and got a good price on shooting the pole barn 6"" of open cell foam on the for walls and the ceiling for an R-value 20 or above. So that will happen in the next few weeks or so. I also met with the electrician to work up a quote for all the 3 phase stuff so as soon he gets back to me I'll make that decision then outside of heating and AC those are the last big ticket items. I really like it here. The people have been very welcoming. I told them that when I head here for good in the spring I would stop at the Tennessee border line and wipe my feet and wash my truck tires off so not to bring anything in from NY. I really like it here. It's ware I belong.
Peace along the way
