How large or a back porch are you going to hang on to the back of your bus?
If I were going to do something like that I would take off the back bumper, extend the frame rails, and then reinstall the back bumper on the extended frame rails. If you make the extensions so that 1/3 of the extension is behind the end of the existing frame rail and 2/3 within the existing frame rail you should be able to support any reasonable amount of weight.
If you install the extensions within the existing frame rail and bolt them together you don't have to worry about welding anything to the frame rail.
