New guy looking for a bus

Post by Olddaddy »

Hey, just found the site and forum, very interesting stuff here. I am looking for a bus I can convert to a retirement RV/home. I would like to find a 1936 -1956 Dodge short bus, but am open to others. Those transit busses are really cool if there ever was a short or smaller version. I appreciate any advice or direction from the forum. Anything is possible at this point, just starting to turn the dream into reality.

I'm pretty sure this is the bus Steve is talking about. It is a 1963 W500 Power Wagon, with a factory roof raise. It sold on Ebay last week for $2325.00
I came so close to buying it. I spent two days talking myself out of it, If I wasn't planing to move soon, I would have bought it. It had 6.80 gear raito, with the tire size it had top speed would have been about 55.
