House Truck frames..wood or metal..

Post by tamangel »

Some day maybe...will get an M36A2 and build a house on the back.. I see many examples of wood house construction and a few of welded metal frame construction on mobile house trucks.. per metal I'm familiar with Rob Grays rig and also polymecca's web page.. per wood, I have seen a number of great sites out there also..

Any one style deemed better depending on your definition.. This will be a ground up construction from a bare chassis, not a box truck or skoolie (at least that's the thinking at the moment..)

Great folks and site as usual here..

I'm into engineering , steel framing is quick and easy for me , and strong.

HOWEVER ..... my friends wooden framed bus is way warmer than my steel framed one .

Heat transference is different.
