Re: Tiny house on a trailer
Thanks, I've had a few glitches like that on this end too but I found ways to work around them and it all seems to come together anyway it's pretty crummy on this end today so I think I'll weigh 1 each of the 4 types of windows so I can multiple them to figure the weight and then I'm headed out to do me some laundry

Re: Tiny house on a trailer
I finely got to bend up my roof edge last night. The ones for the rakes are a 90° angle and I did the one for the 4 pitch dormer's at a 90° as well and I'll just shove them in tight to bend them to the fascia and the rest are at a 45° to fit the 12 pitch roof over the kitchen and bath. I'm back to doing money work but I'm gonna take a few more days in a row to get the roof on then get the spray foam guy over to insulate, then windows and siding before winter. The summer went fast

I got some copper done today
It's hard to see but the skylights are folded right in to the standing seam
Stainless ring nails and I did roof clips ever 6" when they tell you to do them every 16"

Looking beautiful Dennis ...
Ger 'er roofed and weathered in ... we're in line tonight for a weather change .. that heavy rain over the South West will be on us tomorrow ... tho beautiful fall, our night temps up here (8,900') been in the 30's ... dropping this week to below freezing, possible snow out of this one.
Don't know what to expect out of this winter ... my Hobbit hole - bus is ready! Would be nice to see pics of you in your new home, fire place blazing as the snow flies ... like Gandalf ...

Re: Tiny house on a trailer
I would like a roof on my house like that, but someone would steal it.

Don't think I haven't thought about that I put 2 stainless ring shank nails in each hold down clip every 6" so whoever tries to walk off with my roof is really gonna have to work for itstuartcnz wrote:I would like a roof on my house like that, but someone would steal it.

Re: Tiny house on a trailer
Looks to me like if you used a couple more hold down clips you'd have the whole thing shingled and wouldn't need all that pretty copper . I'll be interested to see how you will finish the leading edges to keep them secure in the freeway wind. Jack

Re: Tiny house on a trailer
It's hard to see but this is how the first and last roof panels fold over the edge on the rake boards at the gables
This is where the 12 pitch roof meets the sleeping loft wall
I'm likin the beveled cedar, it's clean and purdy
I'm picking up the little gas range and 7.4 cubic foot fridge on Sunday
