Gypsy House Truck Photo Page

Post by depatty »

Just found this page and don't know if a link to it has been posted before or not but the truck is rather neat so thought I would post it for anyone interested. http://photobooks.com/~j/gypsy_wagon/

Please note that a bunch of the picture links are broken (I emailed the page owner about it just prior to posting this so hopefully it will be fixed soon). If ya can't wait (I couldn't) replace the lower case letters in the image name with upper case to view the image.

Thanks for the best house truck site on the web Sharkey! I've really enjoyed lurking.

That particular truck is named "Marvel" and belongs to Debra Nunenz, who is a registered user on this forum. Last I heard, Debra was trying to sell Marvel, don't know if she ever did. That page gives the best photo essay on her truck that I've yet seen. There are some interior photos of Marvel in Roger's Book Some Turtles Have Nice Shells.

I used to have fun putting my web "business" card under Marvel's windshield wiper when I would see the truck out behind the Lane County Farigrounds on Sundays after attending the flea market. Maybe one day Debra and I will meet in person.

The photo that you posted was taken in Skinner Butte park, down by the Wilamette river.
