100 Reasons Why Living Mobile Makes More Sense in 2005
Help me out here:
"One Hundred Reasons Why Living a Free Mobile Existence Makes More Sense today than in 1965 (40 years ago).
1) Cell Phones: (you can always keep in touch if you need to ... you physical location has never been so irrelevant to communication)
2) Laptop Computers: (you have vast computing power for writing, communicating and/or or other creative ventures pushed into your bedside-desk top-drawer ... 19volts at 1.5 amps)
3) Google: (The most amaizing resource of human civillization. Know anything about anything, book tickets, purchase things ... instantly)
4) Microwave Ovens: (with my wood-stove burning away I should be utterly ashamed of myself)
5) The Internet: (see Google above, only better. Need a map of Ohio quickly? need to book a hotel in Laredo for thursday ? ... check out Sharky's website ?)
6) An abundance of relatively inexpensive vehicles for-sale for making into rolling homes. Efficinet Diesels and such.
7) A world where anything that isn't new is discarded. Things from the garbage never looked so good.
Tools and building materials that were unthinkable then. ie: Tekscrews.
9) Gas is actually less expensive now ... based on how long you have to work to buy one-gallon ... than it has ever been.
10) Satellite Comunication and GPS technology for further wandering.
ok ... you get the idea. I want 90 more from all you Sharkenmiesters in your campenvagens.

I'm goin' home
And when I wanna go home
I'm goin' mobile
Well, I'm gonna find a home
And we'll see how it feels
Goin' mobile
Keep me movin'
11) I can pull up by the curb
12) I can make it on the road
Goin' mobile
13) I can stop in any street
And talk with people that we meet
Goin' mobile
Keep me movin'
14) Out in the woods
Or in the city
It's all the same to me
15) When I'm drivin' free, the world's my home
When I'm mobile
Hee, hoo!
beep beep!
16) Play the tape machine
17) Make the toast and tea
When I'm mobile
18) Well I can lay in bed
With only highway ahead
When I'm mobile
Keep me movin'
Keep me movin'
Over 50
Keep me groovin'
Just a hippie gypsy
Come on move now
Movin'
Keep me movin', yeah
Keep me movin', groovin', groovin', yeah
Movin', Yeah
Mobile, mobile, mobile, mobile, ...
19) I don't care about pollution
I'm an air-conditioned gypsy
That's my solution
20) Watch the po-lease and the tax man miss me
I'm mobile
Oooooh, yeah, hee!
Mobile, mobile, mobile yeah
Oh, and last month I had a revelation about this lyric:
And when I wanna go home
I'm goin' mobile

I had always considered that it referred to miles-per-hour, but at this point in my life, I relate to it more as a statement of age...Keep me movin'
Over 50
23) By living Mobile you can move around to avoid any major disasters, including Natural Disasters (Fires, earthquakes etc), terrorism issues, including incoming missiles etc ... ex lovers, wives, IRS etc ...
Mobility has never been so crucial, including independence via "living off the grid". Firearms aboard your galaxy-spanning love-machine is another matter all together, as are grenades and ... here we go again: Missile launchers. Remember: if you're not part of the problem, how can you ever find a solution? <(bumper-sticker idea)

Re: 100 Reasons Why Living Mobile Makes More Sense in 2005
Because of this "life style" my physical and personal heath has come back almost 100% This "life style" has help me to bring my stress level down to practically 0 cuz if all else fails and the S**T hit’s the fan me and mine are still warm, dry and fed and I can just say “F**K IT” and move on. It’s been so good for me… Thanks Roger

I have to agree with Dennis.
If I didn't have home-owners blues I know I'd be a lot healthier (at least I quit smoking) and my "profession" of writing stories etc could earn me a living on the road, writing travelogues or doing features on small unique towns all over.
Time to find another van and get out there after this darn house renovation drives me mad--get out and find a place to chill and write!
Thanks Roger
