i saw a thing on the doc channel about slab city and was wondering if any one here been there to vist or stayed for any lenght of time. if so can you tell me about your stay there
just because you ride the bus , it doesnt make you a bus person

Hey Mr. splummer,
I have been there several times. Will probably go by there in November.
I like the place because you can feel the lack of authority when you step out the door. No one really owns or wants the place so you can just make yourself at home, find a nice private place to park and build a fence or plant a garden or stand on your head. There is no water or other services there. Everything you need is just a short drive away.
