White Fuel Tanker.. complete but junk?

Post by tamangel »

seems you could sell the SS Tank and/or body and put the money back into the unit..I always liked these White 3000 cabs..

No connection with seller/just a neat truck

"4000 GALLON COMPARTMENT AND 400 GALLON COMPARTMENT
TANK IS 21'10" LONG, COMPARTMENTS ARE CLEAN AND DRY
TRUCK IS COMPLETE BUT CONSIDERED TO BE JUNK WITH NO TITLE
$3,000.00"

lets see, average price of Diesel is about $3.10 per gallon, that would be $13,640.00 for a fill-up..
at about 10 gallons a minute max= 7.3 hours for a fill-up..
Mileage of ..say..10 miles per gallon = 44,000 miles..
at say 5000 driving miles a year = 8.8 years..
3212 days (8.8 years) divided by $13640.00 = $4.24 per day
not bad I guess... :)

Hmmmmm..

I still say, sell the body and make it a house truck..

Didn't those old White truck cabs tilt forward for service on the engine? That might make it hard to have a cab over on the house part, or maby a extra high cab over to clear the cab when it needs to be tilted forward. I always liked those old cabs also, they had a very unique look to them, and you don't see them much anymore. Maby Sharkey can do his Photoshop magic and 'create' a house for the rear of the truck?
