New rig
Hi Dudley and gang
I got the bus off the Air fource base in upstate NY and drove it to Vermont in Febuary and parked it untill I could find a place to park it. Then last week I went back up to bringer home. It was a troup transport bus and only has 144,000 miles on it. My buddy up in Vermont gutted the bus for me up at his place so now the rig is peeled to the outer skin. First im headed up to NJ to a GMC bus bone yard to get the 4 sliding window that are removed and some other parts so I can get ready to shot the inside with fire rated foam insulation the I am going to give it a 1/2" air space then a layer of whats calledPROEX foil covered foam insulation. It's only 1/4" thick and with a 1/2" air space it will give me an r-14.7 rating. so between the spray foam ( R-7 per ince ) and this PRODEX at 14.7 R rating I should be good to go.

Let the building begain
Hi Kids
Last night I brought "BIG BLUE" over to the cabinet shop to get started. Theres only room for one bus so with in the next week I am going to move in to the buffalo and raugh it and pull the frig. and stuff out of my skoolie /home so I have stuff to use. I also order a 20' Tipi from Colorado yurt Co. to stay in when I feel like being on the road. I can't wait till it gets here. A 20 footer is not huge be it's pretty big so it will be great for the road. http://www.coloradoyurt.com/

Well
I was trying to post one pic of the big blue home 2 be but it ended up to be a link to a small album. The skoolie was my first bus/home. I lived in it for just under 5 years. I changed my life forever. for now I put a hand full of 110 watt PV panels on big blue so I have free power for now. The panel leaning on the front of big blue is a Sharp 175 watt PV panel, 1 of 9 that will be big blues final 48 volt system. Im using an Outback 3648 inverter and an Outback MX60 charge controller.
