I love the old thing, I've had it 8 years now. My partner had been storing it for Marcel, and when my partner had to move, Marcel sold me "Mercy", because he had no further use for her, but thought it was great that I did.

Before he died, I was able to show him how I'd set up a table in there and stored all my garden stuff against the other wall, and he was really pleased with it.

Mercy REALLY needs a new floor, my partner Rick stepped in the wrong place and went through up to the knee! So he took that piece of plywood out, but they're all bad, so sometime this summer I've got to replace the floor, and get the window in.

I use the base from the drivers seat to store all my garden tools and patio umbrella, everything else is in the back.

I'll go out with a cloth and get a look at the model # etc on the VIN plate and write it down.

Back in a few minutes

I just did my yoga for today, crawling around over the motor(no cover), and wiggling under the steering wheel :D .

The VIN# is DB 3090811364258, GVW is over 13,000 lbs.

Couldn't read the model # without a magnifying glass (or new glasses  )

But that is what I could see if it tells you anything.

Okay, from the pics, Mercy would be an L 406 Transporter type. She looks exactly like the picture except she's missing her grille badge.

I'll find my magnifying glass or my other glasses (I wear magnifiers) and have another go at reading the VIN plate again tomorrow, I've had enough vehicle yoga for today

Gas, the original motor blew and was replaced-with a few modif**kations- with a Peugot motor, which is now seized and has been seized since I got it.

She's a well traveled vehicle, originally out of South Africa somewhere, bought there by Marcel and shipped here on a boat, then serving as a family camper and temporary family shelter while Marcel built his house on Hornby Island, North East of here about 120 miles.

When Marcel moved to this area, he lived in Mercy for a bit, and when the motor blew he got an apt. and had Mercy towed to where I found her.

Total cost with tow truck to move her here: $136 dollars. Not bad for a good garden shed with far more room than the ones you'd buy in a kit :D

The reason for all the yoga was a stack of her spare tires was sitting where the passengers seat used to be, and theres garden tools and my patio umbrella in the base from the drivers seat. so I wiggled in like a snake over the motor to read the VIN plate on the drivers side :D :

Cheers

Hey y'all, my Verizon limit is getting close, so the posting ANY pics, on the various forums, from me, will only appear 6 days from now.

I am excited to see them here. I do have a sneak preview.

So you'll all have to wait.

Just like you did, waiting for Santa.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for posting Mercy's pics. Dusty will be pleased and I'm thrilled.

Are you going to join the gang on a trip up here, hope so?

It's okay Dusty, its the tricky thing that holds the door in the slider AND a drivers door hinge I need.

Currently I've tied the door shut and am using either the passengers door or the back door to get into it--no Mercedes yoga today, it is POURING rain and I'm not going outside. I will get the VIN# for you soon
Cheers
