were you able to watch that last video?

its entitled:

Double Decker Buses in Coombs, B.C.

this was on another site:

The buses are a collection belonging to a Paul Tremblay (in the name of the Charity Plus Society), and can be seen from Route 4 near the crossing with Route 19 near Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island

I see it ( I think) on Google Earth at these coordinates:

49.304532N
124.339814W

(that will put you in the road right in front, you can see a long line 90 degrees to the road ..that should be the buses..)

however, when I try to locate it with street view I can't find it.. Maybe they are not there anymore..bummer..

Maybe when you get in the vicinity, you can stop at some business and ask..

Mike

can someone else try those coordinates and see if you get what I did..?

Yes Mike I watched it, but no sound, Paul Tremblay is a friend of my pal Gerry Gettle and I met him when he had to move the buses from Langford to Victoria and was cleaning them out. We got a lot of scrap lumber, paint and windows from Paul before he moved.

I'll look up the Charity bus thing and see what I find, or call Gray Line in Victoria, it's not a long distance call for me.

I also love old Austin taxi's and saw one at ABFM Portland in 1988 when Roger and I were showing Austin Farina's and it was Mini Meet West and the Portland International Raceway infield was crowded with every type of Austin Mini ever made, from the "Mini Moke" golf cart to the Mini pickup, and Austin Mini Wild Goose camper-thats a cute wee rig-look it up.

I wasn't kidding about Scenicruisers hiding in the bushes either :D , Rick told me last night that his friend Bob has one.

So guess who is going to phone Bob shortly.

AND I talked to our school didstrict bus barn and the buses are auctioned in July and the website is www.bcauctions.ca

That's the site that all buses in the province are sold through. So I'm going to snoop through it--AFTER I call Bob about his Scenicruiser.

HUGS

Hi,

I'm stuck at home until we find or get a coil wire for my car, it seems to have gone AWOL (in other words my last tenant probably pinched it :x )

It's the pits that I don't have the strength to walk that far, and frustrating as heck. I'm also not well, and haven't been for several years, just starting to get SOME strength back now.

So I need a vehicle to get me to where the buses are, and back to see my own dear Pit Stop to do some measuring and figuring. We've decided to build the wood bin for the stove in the gaping hole where the transmission cover was, and I need an inside length measurement to figure out how much plywood to buy for a new floor.

I'm sure if you've ever been without wheels you can appreciate where I'm at.
