Love it Rudy! Reminds me of something an old man told me about 30 years ago. He said "Now it takes me all night to do, what I used to do all night."

Last week I was in a GIANT bookstore. I was looking in the hunting books section for a book named Why Rabbits Make Good Eatin' by Theodore Schnauzer. You would think that in this part of the country, there would be some copies. I saw a special on the local fishing channel on TV.
Suffice it to say that this book is a survival tool when you might have to depend on road kill for food someday. There are many methods of sterilization of the meats, as wells as many ways to cook the critters up so that they taste like chicken.
If anyone comes across this book, or knows where I can get one, PLEASE let me know. Thanks, Rudy

Online used at www.abebooks.com they have quite a few out of print books and that is where I got my copy of Rolling homes. Try Amazon first though, sometimes their prices are better.

At the Farmer's Institute Meeting last night.

There has been a lot of tension and division amongst the executive and one guy actually punched another  , the cops were called and the whole thing ended with a non-confidence vote on the executives-which were just elected in Nov.

So there will be a "Special" executive meeting and then another election, I hope to join before the election, so the fractious factions get voted out.

Rick is going to join too, because he volunteers when it's fair time and there is work to be done setting up ticket booths and so on.

But what stupidity in a small town  , everyone around will know within days-and the police thing will be in the local papers. Talk about a way to drive away potential members, if this doesn't do it, nothing will!

I am visiting my friend in Tucson Arizona. It is summer. It is HOT.

I am in the guest bedroom. I have no shirt on. I am trying to sleep.

I hear a funny flapping sound in the room.

Suddenly I feel the contact landing of what I presumed to be a VERY LARGE insect.

I shrug in horror and then hear the swooshing of bug wings.

I jump out of bed and turn the light on.

There, on the desk is a four inch long black beetle type bug.

I stare at it in amazement. It lifts off and heads in my direction.

I karate chop it into a dizzying spiral to the floor.

I enclose it with tumbler sized glass and slide a piece of cardboard under the glass.

I wake my friend up and show him this creature.

He says, OH YEAH, they're all over here.

The next day I had left to continue my journey across the U.S., hoping I had left the land of the BIG BUGS.

BOOM! I was sitting too close to the heater when I farted. I guess methane is more dangerous than propane.

Okay so this is how I imagine this conversation went:

Walmart Employee: 'Hello this is Walmarts, how can I help you?'

Customer: ' I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week..'

Walmart Employee: 'What you want on the cake?'

Customer: 'Best Wishes Suzanne' and underneath that 'We will miss you'.
