School Bus Roof Raise Pages
Got an email from Antoine alerting me to a series of pages depicting the raising of the roof on the bus that she and Larry live and travel in. I thought folks here might be interested in seeing how it was done in this case.

That is certainly an interesting way to do a raise and I never would have thought of it.
I came across this album yesterday at skoolie.net and it demonstrates the more "accepted" way to do the raise. LINKY
I think the wood walls have a lot of merit, though.

I liked the way they did the roof raise and some of the other stuff. It was cool the way they re-used the metal from the interior ceiling as exterior skin. I could live without the popout and they went a little over the top with the artsy fartsy stuff, too, IMHO.
Makes me think you could do somthing of a hybrid roof raise, a cross between the two. I liked the dual lofts and you could sure frame that up in sqare tubing just as easily as you could with wood. If you don't weld, then the wood makes more sense.
