Im haing a little bit of a time with down shifting the oldschool, dubble clutching 4 speed but this thing is a runner
When I got to the guys house to pick it up he had the 140 gal diesel and 50 gal propane tanks full ready to go as a farewell gift to the old girl. This old boy George ( 77 years young ) is a really nice guy. DMV first thing in the morning.

Peace along the way

Yah Stuart, I’m going to keep working on the buffalo as time and money allows and it's a good place for me to stay when I have to make a run back to the shop for equipment and such. It turns out this job is going to last until the spring so in the long run it was cheaper and much easier to hunt down a nice road ready rig then put the time and money in to the buffalo to get it up and ready to go. The other night when I was layin over in Wal-Mart parking lot I was thinking about how at this time last year I was almost out of savings with “noâ€

Thanks for the words of wisdom Dennis. Here we are decending into winter with the accompanying poverty. It seems the easy money just stops after labor day. I don't mind the beans and rice, or having to be careful about every little dime, I just hate that depressed claustrophobic feeling when everything has to stop for want of a nail.

Well Kids, I just found out that this job may be done for me. The guy is telling me that it's "im" costing him to much money and he may have found someone else to finish the house. Im going out there to try and have a talk with him later in hopes of changing his mind but it's not looking good. As I said at the beginning of this saga he's dieing of cancer and he's wasted on pain killers all the time so I don't expect to be able to make much since to him.

Tough situation, Dennis. Many, maybe most, people don't grasp the real costs of a project until it's under way. He most likely won't find satisfaction elsewhere either. And constant strain is hard on the attitude and judgment.
Don't know how long you've been involved with his job. Perhaps if you like or are concerned about the guy you could suggest a limited work plan to be reviewed in a month. Just the basic necessities, no frills. Maybe his expectations don't align with reality and a little more time and information would help him come to terms.
Best luck. Rufus

Wow, Dennis! Sorry to hear that things may fall through on the house project...keep your chin up though, sometimes one window of opportunity closes so a door to another can be opened...and for a man of your character & integrity, other opportunities will present themselves.
