Being that I have a lot of free time, presently, I spend a lot of it playing my accordion. I play one to three hours a day. I like to play outside. I like to play standing up. Here are some pictures of my favorite, shaded, playing spot. Where the accordion sits is where I stand.

Two nights ago, I felt a comfort and coziness. It was when I was playing accordion in the bus at 10 PM. Emma sang with me for over an hour. She really likes the minor chords. I am about to embark on another musical journey. I'll play some blues (with 7th chords). She likes that too.

That's a Wow!

The only piano teacher I ever got much from was an accordion player (ran his own trio). Taught me the basics of Swing with all the chords and base styles; first time music ever got w/in reach. But I was not really a musician, just fairly dextrous.

Rudy, when you got the sense to rejoice in your gifts and circumstances, _that's_ rich! And better yet, share it. <g>

Help, Mr Wizard! I am swirling in the mad vortex of accordion lust. They just keep arriving. I have many.
Throughout one's life of dedication to playing an instrument, one constantly searches for an instrument that is their friend. I have come to the conclusion that high dollar brand name instruments may not necessarily suit one as well as a less expensive instrument.
I have two very responsive accordions presently. I recently got another 120 bass (full keyed) accordion. OH WHAT SWEET TONE!!! It really is. Today I did an A-B test with both of my 120 bass accordions. The black one sings SO pretty, but it CANNOT rock out like the white one.
The white one has a plain voice, BUT, it will be as soft or as loud as you need it to be. Also, because it is smaller than the black one, it is quicker,(less air volume to move). See the white one in photos above. It is in the photos of where I like to play outdoors.
So for now, the white one is my "main squeeze".
By the way, Guild guitars were always my favorite.

was that the cookie monster's can from sesame street, I know I have not seen him in a while, now I know where he's hanging out. by the way my little girl just brought me a gift 8 little labs it looks like there are 4 white or cream, 3 yellow, and 1 golden, they sure can raise some hell when they are ready to nurse and can't find dinner. I just barely got her a plywood box built to have them in, beat the delivery by 2 day's. It only took 62 days from when she came in to heat to puppy time, the next 6 weeks will be rough.

Pics and link to the music from the DanJam last weekend.

The musicians that day were:
Danno-congas, drums, vibes, percussion.
Jamey-keyboard, recording engineer.
Rudy-accordion, mandolin, congas, vibes.
Scott-guitars, singing.
Crib-drums, percussion.
Ekim-bass.
Larry-percussion.

Jamey, Danno, and I used to play in a band called Univox. There are pictures of Univox on this thread. Jamey called this jam band Univox 2.
Keep in mind that last weekend was just a bunch of guys not really knowing what we were doing. We never played with the other guys before. Here is a link to Jamey's music website called ORB. Go there and click on DanJam to hear songs from the jam.
