Ezra, you are very thoughtful. Thanks That's a song I wrote about getting old. It's called Ah De Ya So Pain. Watch the lips of the singing yellow man.

Rudy jams

Post by aikistan »

Hello Rudy/ Ezrablu, all,

My first posting here...Rudy is an great musician as is Jamey. I feel hard pressed to keep up with them. Maybe why I was NOT invited to play on the last jam.
New instrument is a 1928 Clarophone banjo uke, fits well on the back of my motorcycle along with the classical guitar. As Rudy knows my Beemer is odd, so many mods and junk hanging off, it's my spaceship. All function with no fashion.

So Rudy and I will once more enter the halls of Bluegrass this coming weekend. Pulling them toward unexplored territory of bluegrass jazz tangos.
Daring them to step off into minors and 9's, back beats and bongos.
Chances are it will turn out like all the other times...what kinda chord is that??
Why that there is'unt right, we don't do that kinda rhythem 'round heres.
You some kinda city slicker? How come yourn shoes don't match?

Off to add more lights to the spaceship...140 LEDS on the back

And here's a few more oldies...they sure don't make music like they used to in the 60's and 70's.

Ezrablu I'm not sure I would have told off on myself like that, about your wardrobe disarray, some folks might get the wrong impression.

graydawg...lol...most people are always way off on their impressions of me anyway. Image

But to save myself from a least a few of those misconceptions:

Back when my mom was sick with cancer, there was 8 of us living in a one room kitchenette (my mom and dad and 6 of us kids). With so many others to consider and not much privacy, we couldn't always turn the lights on to get dressed. Besides being inside out or backwards, it sucked to find out you didn't even have your own clothes on!

Now days if I ever notice I've buttoned up my shirt wrong or such...I just smile and thank God for the reminder and glad those days are long over.

White Satin...

First heard that flying over Wisconsin country in my cousin's caddy convertible, top down at sunset.

Hang in there, EB - Wisconsin gets real sweet and pretty come spring 'n' summer.

Thanks rlaggren...ya, I'm not new to Wisconsin, been here this time since 1985. Used to live here in the early 70's...left for Phoenix, then Alaska (and lots of places after that, then back to Wisconsin in '85).

I don't like winters...but I don't like HOT summers even more so I finally made my mind up and bought a little chunk of land here last spring. Somewhere to park my bus and grow a garden.

This winter snuck up on me...next winter I'll have my bus finished and my wood stove installed in it (once I figure out HOW to install a wood stove and more so, how to cut a hole in the roof. Perhaps I'll put the pipe out a window so not to damage the bus).

Anyway, I've l already bartered with the Amish guy next door - trade my 7.77 acres of red clover hay for firewood so I'll be all set for next winter. He'll give me .75 cents a bale (he cuts and bales it). And I get a truckload of wood for $20....it's a sweet deal...wood is all cut to whatever size I want.

was just kidding about the clothes, hell I went out to the local riverboat casino about 6 or 7 months ago and had my pullover shirt on wrong side out and didn't even realize it till I had been home a couple hours later. and to think I would have been in style a couple years ago. btw ezrablu what is the original 45 was that another group from that era. I reemember some of the music you had listed that was from a long time ago thou, did you study that music in HISTORY class, I think that was where I heard it before
